Learning how to write is like trying to open a locked door that doesn’t have a key. Behind the locked door is a vast dreamscape for adventurers to explore worlds undiscovered, but how do you get through without a key? The solution is to learn how to pick the lock! Using the IEW curriculum as the lockpicking kit, creative minds learn how to use a variety of tools to pick apart writing and break through that door.
Taught by our creative writing expert, this course combines the well-known benefits of the IEW writing curriculum with the excellent instruction and academic excellence that Writtenburg Door is known for. Students begin by analyzing and imitating existing good writing. Then through a series of incremental steps, they develop the ability to write their own original compositions. Students in this course will develop a foundational understanding of writing that will carry over into every other area of study.
